At Heritage Bank of Commerce, we are always striving to help improve our communities. With a comprehensive approach to financial stewardship, philanthropic giving, and community engagement, we are committed to helping them grow and prosper.
In 2023, we directed in excess of 1% of pretax income to donations and sponsorships supporting 380+ nonprofit organizations across the San Francisco Bay Area. With a workplace environment that supports and encourages employees to generously give their time and talent, our staff volunteered over 2,500 hours to 150+ nonprofit organizations while serving on 70+ nonprofit boards of directors. Heritage Bank of Commerce is also perennially named a ‘Top Corporate Philanthropist’ by both Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times.

Helping Communities Thrive
We Are Committed
Investing in people, neighborhoods and local businesses is a key part of our mission.
Our communities thrive thanks in large part to the many dedicated organizations that work tirelessly creating opportunities for Bay Area residents and businesses. We are proud of our heritage of helping them assist low- and moderate-income and/or minority individuals, families, and areas with community and economic development, affordable housing, asset building, financial education, and youth programs.
It’s Not Just About Money
We Are Engaged.
Serving our community is in our DNA.
Nowhere is that more evident than in our longstanding partnership with the inspiring team at My New Red Shoes, as they work to improve the quality of life and well-being of children and youth in the Bay Area. Since 2006, they have helped more than 90,000 students and we’re proud to support their efforts by contributing not just money, but also our time and our talent.

Together We’re Making an Impact
What Our Communities Are Saying
CRA Public File
The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) was enacted in 1977. The legislative intent behind the Act was to encourage an insured depository institution to meet the credit needs of its entire community. Since our inception in 1994, we have been deeply committed to building relationships and making a difference in our local communities. Investing in people, neighborhoods and local businesses is part of our mission. We strive to understand their needs and how we can help them attain their goals and improve the quality of lives throughout the greater Bay Area.
In accordance with the CRA regulation, Heritage Bank of Commerce is required to maintain and, upon request, make available for public inspection a complete CRA Public File, which includes information about the bank’s branch and ATM locations, products and services, regulatory performance evaluations of the bank’s record of meeting community credit needs, and other information.
