A.)  in General Business, Accounting, or Finance from four-year College or University; or two more years related  bank operations/compliance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

The incumbent shall perform audits and examinations of the bank’s records, properties, securities, and accounting procedures, relating to banking operations and internal controls on a schedule approved by the EVP/Director of Internal Audit. The incumbent shall assist in internal controls evaluation and testing for compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act, BSA/Anti Money Laundering/OFAC/USA PATRIOT Act Compliance. The incumbent shall perform reviews of certifications completed by bank departments and branches to promote operational efficiency and adherence to internal policies. The incumbent will make recommendations to management regarding internal controls and safeguards, accounting systems, regulatory and compliance and changes to policy and procedural manuals. The incumbent shall avail him/herself to the Bank and its employees in providing advice and opinion concerning internal control procedures, acting only in the role of advisor and refraining from decision-making and implementation.


The incumbent will be required to maintain the independent nature of the audit function by ensuring that neither the auditor nor his/her staff initiates or approves accounting transactions of any nature; or administers or supervises any bank operations function. The incumbent shall strictly guard the confidentiality of audit reports, audit files and findings, audit schedules, records, Bank’s/Client relationship, and Bank data in general.


Candidates without prior audit experience will be provided on the job training, seminars and classroom training through the Institute of Internal Auditors and Bank Administration Institute. Additionally, continuous internal audit training will be provided as the incumbent progresses through his/her career in Bank internal audit function.


The Bank Internal Auditor will be expected to conduct audits/assist in the conduct of audits at the direction of the EVP/Director of Internal Audit. The incumbent shall analyze audit information gathered by self and staff, to determine whether or not policies, procedures, practices, or accounting records: a) conform with Board establish policies, internal procedures and prudent banking practice; b) confirm with applicable banking laws, statutes and regulations; c) present a potential for monetary loss to the Banks or the Holding Company. And report findings to EVP/Director of Internal Audit and Senior Management.  Good working knowledge of MS Word/Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
