SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the Heritage Bank IT Banking Technology group.  Manages, implements, tests, and ensures compliance for all technology vendors and systems used by Bank employees and our banking clients for deposits, loan servicing, account opening, imaging, document management, and online and mobile banking for consumer and business customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
  • Manage all Fiserv products and services, as well as all related vendors and systems. Create, test, and modify banking products.  Manage systems, technology, and processes for HOA Services, cash management and treasury, and other services.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of services delivered to clients via Bank’s cash management and HOA Services departments, including online and mobile banking suites, ACH payment system, wire transfer system, Merchant Capture, electronic signature, and other banking software components.
  • Participate in new product development and implementation.
  • Manage projects for new product or system implementations.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Bank’s HOA Department systems and vendors.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding product functionality.
  • Respond to requests for additional functionality.
  • Manage testing for all new products and frequent product upgrades and changes.
  • Manage configuration / specification change management process.
  • Manage process for Bank to enable additional documents for electronic signatures.
  • Review potential new products, vendors, and technologies.
  • Communicate with vendor technical support to identify and correct functional issues.
  • Evaluate and report on the impact of product upgrades to our clients.
  • Manage and oversee Fiserv and other Banking Systems vendors, including contract negotiations, tracking expirations and renewals, and tracking vendor support and hosted application performance.
  • Produce regular management performance and inventory reports as required.
  • Manage IT Banking Technology team and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for ensuring compliance with aspects of job related laws and regulations.  Responsible for keeping compliance knowledge current by attending compliance related training seminars and/or staff meetings (or reviewing minutes when not in attendance for actual meetings) and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.  Job related laws and regulations include, but are not limited to the following:  Expedited Funds Availability Act (Regulation CC); Account Structure and Reserve Requirements (Regulation D); Truth in Savings (Regulation DD); Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Regulation E); Currency Transaction Reporting (Bank Secrecy Act); and Financial Privacy Laws.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervisory responsibility for the Banking Technology team. May include supervising contractors.
